In many cases, a brief introduction to a given subject will fulfil the training requirement of a particular industry. Time is limited and an awareness of the topic will enable staff to ask to right questions when purchasing equipment, interpreting documents or negotiating with external consultants.
Awareness courses are generally undertaken in a single day and cover the topic in a straightforward, easy to understand manner. Some degree of discussion is advisable in advance of the presentation to ensure the syllabus reflects the need of the target audience.
