Andy Tomlinson was a Senior Lecturer at Cranfield University before starting his own company CPD Dynamics Limited.
With over 25 years contract research experience in noise and vibration, specialising in signal processing techniques, his areas of interest include
dynamic analysis procedures, machine noise diagnostics, signature identification and classification, and vibration, climatic and shock testing.
He has worked for Rank Precision Industries and his MPhil degree was carried out under contract with the Transport and Road Research Laboratory.
He is a Chartered Engineer and an Honorary Fellow of the Society of Environmental Engineers having served as Chairman of both Council and the Vibration, Shock and Noise
Andy has run short training courses on various subjects related to practical Signal Processing, Environmental Test Engineering and the measurement,
analysis and control of Noise and Vibration. He has organised and participated in numerous in-company short courses both in the United Kingdom and overseas.
He is the author of Environmental Test Engineering, 2019.
